An ancient Moroccan technique of polished lime, primarily used to waterproof Earthen bathroom walls, sinks and tubs.

The material finish shares qualities to other lime renders, but is unique in that it's compressed with a stone while being treated with soap to attain waterproofing.

In a vernacular solution to a breathable interior living space, I brought the material out from the walls in fragmented formation. ‘Shards’ can be used to compose sculptural or furniture pieces.
